Loft Conversion

Against my daughter's advice I chose CherryLofts to undertake my loft conversion. As a brand new company she considered it a risk but based on the first visit to survey the project I was convinced that Dean and Richard had the necessary expertise and experience to undertake the job. On receiving a detailed plan of the loft, including placing the stairs in a position I hadn't considered, l was more than happy to sign a contract. 

So has my decision been vindicated? Absolutely. It has been a pleasure to have Richard and Dean, together with the plumber Nick, the electrician and plasterer around and all have completed their work to the highest standard. In particular Richard's attention to the finishing touches has been outstanding, clearly a perfectionist. And the stairs? I can't believe how discreet they are and how little they have taken off the living room.

Cherry Lofts did a great design for our loft conversion and provided a competitive quote. Once underway, the work moved along quickly and Cherry Lofts were happy to explain and show each stage of the process.

We found them to be open, transparent, professional, courteous, friendly, and reassuring. Their work ethic is to get it done quickly and efficiently, but without compromising quality. The conversion was not only completed to schedule as per their original quote, but also completed to budget. Like all projects of this size and complexity, there were issues along the way (in the main, not of their making).

What impressed me was their willingness and enthusiasm in resolving these issues to our satisfaction. We are incredibly happy with the end result and everyone who comes to visit is very impressed. It’s transformed our house. Further, the value of the house has increased which offsets the cost of the conversion. Overall I would very much recommend Cherry Lofts for your loft conversion.

Cherry Lofts completed a dormer conversion for us on our property early 2022.

We found they were very willing to listen and incorporate our wants and needs unlike other loft companies we’d looked into. They are up for bespoke design as opposed to ‘cookie cutter’ loft conversions. Their carpenters on site were very communicative and offered potential ideas that could enhance our final loft design as the project progressed.

They were very reasonably priced and always up front and honest cost. There were a few elements we decided to upgrade ourselves but other than those parts, the project finished in line with our original budget.

The quality of work is fantastic and we’ve already had some post build snags (settling type issues to be expected) resolved quickly.

Cherry Loft did a 'shell' structure of our loft conversion at the fixed price. They listened to our requirements and offered quite often a better solution. They accommodated our ask to change the design of the Velux windows which was well into construction at no extra cost, although it meant a bit more work for the builders. We were happy with the quality of the work and advice they provided was invaluable.

There were issues as on any construction project but they were resolved to our satisfaction. As it was a 'shell only' project Cherry loft even recommended other trades such as electrician, plumber etc. to us so we can complete the job at our pace. Overall it was a positive experience, good value for money and quality work, that was a decisive factor when we were selecting a contractor to do the loft conversion for us.
